About Our Club
Established in 1967 by Gary Colberg (1941-2016), the UC Davis Men's Volleyball Club is the oldest collegiate volleyball club in the United States.
The club consists of two teams (D1 and D2) that compete in the Northern California Collegiate Volleyball League (NCCVL). The D1 team is led by Sergio Castillo (2nd season) and D2 is led by Victor Tenorio (2nd season). In addition to league play, both teams travel to compete at various tournaments throughout California during the season, including the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation's (NCVF) National Collegiate Club Championships, which will be held in Kansas City, MO in 2023. Our club, along with the UCD Women's Volleyball Club, hosts Far Westerns, the largest ranking tournament in the West! The club is defined not only by the skills of the players on the court, but also by the antics and traditions off the court that make us a family.
